And the writer used an enigma to relate the words written at the bottoms of the poster with the picture of the character story in the movie, to tell the audience about what the lady chartecter role and story was about in the movie and narrating to the audience of what would happen to her within the next three days. The social code used in this film poster was a lady dressed in a casual wear, looking smart and professional, but was battling with an evil hand. Also usage of dark cloud atmosphere at background of the poster and few house behind the character, to illustrate where the action of the movie tend to take place, which helps persuade the audience to watch the movie, to know if the actions of the movie would be in the front of people’s house. The title helps represented what the movie would be about, in term of it been related to what the position of the character is like in the front page of the poster, using fire to illustrate what the hell that the title is all about. This also helps attract and fascinate audience to know, with the used of the relating the title of the movie ‘Drag Me to Hell to what is expected to happen to the character in the movie’. The representational codes used in this movie, was related to the audience expectation, that the movie would be a horror movie, due to the action of the character been presented to be struggling and struggling with 3 roughing to be saved. And also showing how her hair was looking quiet messy and disorganised, through the pain and stress she has been through trying to save herself. In term of the action codes that was used, as a female character used only on the front page of the poster, to show her facial expression, in term of struggling and screaming for help, expressing how she was in deep pain and agony through showing how 3 rotten hands were trying to drag her into the fire and also trying to drag her necklace off her neck first. The narrative image that was used in this film poster helps the audience highlight the key message of what the movie is all about. The narrative image used in this poster, is mixed of clue about the narrative of the poster, in term of action codes, representation codes, enigmas and stereotypes to illustrate what the movie would be about.
